Summary: Japan, we need to talk. You're given the prompt of doing a haunted house movie, and in return you give us quite possibly the trippiest, most mind-screw laden trip revolving around a sinister household. We don't know how you do it.

History: Gorgeous' aunt never saw her true love again after the vicious aftermath of WWII. Enraged that there were others who didn't experience her loss, she bound her soul to her house, which would devour any virgin youths. Now, her niece is inviting several friends over. Time to get creative.

Notable Kills: Oh, Hell yes. All over the place. Just to name two, one guy is turned into a pile of bananas, and another is eaten by a piano after the keys mutilate her hands.

Final Fate: A particularly mind-screwy ending leaves behind the implication that the house still remains, as does the spirit of Gorgeous' aunt. Oh, and everyone's dead. Maybe.

Powers/Abilities: Total omnipotence.

Weakness: None.

Scariness Factor: 4.5-Easily the most unpredictable spirit we've seen in years. Her murders seem to tap dance on a thin line between hilarious and horrifying. Either way, don't come to this house a virgin. EVER.

Trivia: -Director Nobuhiko Obayashi drew most of the ideas for this film from his daughter's own insecurities regarding her house. He also based some elements on how much he lost after the Hiroshima/Nagasaki bombings, in which he lost all of his old friends.

-One of the reasons the film's effects often come off as cartoonish is because Toho studios was losing money, and Obayashi saw that as an opportunity to make the film even more surreal than it already was.
